I got two.. One near an outdoor outlet and one not. I didn't want to deal with batteries, so I got a corded model hoping to snake it thru a wall to an outlet in the garage.. But here's the problem. The cord does not disconnect from the base in any way. Therefore, to snake it thru a wall, you need to drill a hole big enough for the AC plug to fit thru. 1.5-2". If the power cord had some sort of connector, you'd only have to drill a 1/2" hole or so.. So while trying to use the smallest hole...
Very problematic- don't purchase
Would Not RecommendI have had two of these for just over two years. Both are needing to be replaced due to a variety of operational issues. You name it...it has failed. Switching to their competition since they are out of warranty.

Works well, but batteries don't last long
Would RecommendWorks well, but goes through batteries very quickly, even when hooked up to the normal sized solar panel and equipped with 2 batteries. Buy the large solar panel if you want it to last longer between swapping out batteries

Would RecommendThe features are good if you can get them to work right. Customer Service was NOT helpful. Right now it does not pick up people entering my yard just us leaving the house. It picks up every car going down the street. We changed to people only so now it’s hit or miss when it picks up anything. Really getting frustrated.
