not so great

There is no information on the website to inform the user that an internet connection is required at the installation site. Thus I installed the system and found this out upon calling Ring tech support. By reading the web information I was led to believe this could be used as a stand alone system-WRONG!!! Be sure you have an internet connection available before even considering this system!

Having trouble linking some of the additional Ring sensors that were purchased separately.

Very reasonable

Our home was built with sensors for a local security company (CPI) but we never activated it because of the ridiculous monthly monitoring fees. The sensors and cameras from Ring are every bit as good or better than what was installed by CPI. I also love the Ring app. But the clincher was the $100 per YEAR monitoring fee. That’s reasonable! Installation was a breeze with my iPhone. Love it.

I like it better than SimpliSafe

We had SimpliSafe for a few years before changing to Ring. I had a few reasons to switch - more options for add-ons, reduced monitoring cost, the option to self-monitor the system, and included the app without having to pay an additional fee. This is easy to setup and use. Programs very easy from any smartphone with good WiFi

Good replacement for iris

Had to find a replacement for the iris system when the company folder. Ring had the same products for the buck. The system works well. Less customization. It still monitors as expected. My use is less traditional. I would rather have small room sensors. Those work in areas of high traffic but where I still need to know if a door is open. The door sensors are nice but too big for some doors and windows. Primary areas work well. I wish there were more options to monitor. I just want alerts but no ...

sleep walking child

I use just the door sensor; I didn't see a purpose for the keypad, and etc. My phone and tablet get notifications upon opening or closing the door. You do not have to arm the system, leave it disabled so other kids are not woken by the loud siren.

Got it to help monitor father in law suffering from dementia, works great

Ring Security

I purchased the Ring Security System and 4 additional door sensors a few weeks ago. The system seems to be working as it should. I plan to purchase the Ring outdoor cameras in the future.
