Would RecommendI didn't buy this hinge to force my closet door to shut. I bought it to stop the door from swinging completely open when unattended. (caused probably from a door frame that was slightly off vertical). This hinge has an adjustment that, when set correctly, did not force the door to shut but did allow the door to remain in place and not swing fully open when left unattended.
