Would RecommendWe have a wood stove in a room where we ran the cold air returns up to the ceiling to draw heated air into the furnace and first put smaller register vents in place but decided to enlarge them. The new 16 X 8 grilles we bought are working perfect and double the air return for letting the furnace spread more heated air from the wood stove through out the house.

I have an older home with a thermostat mounted near a wall register, this one direction cover helps keep the air from blowing on the thermostat, keeping the cycles going and more accurate reads on the thermostat. It's made pretty study and the button style lever matches what i have installed around the house.
