The wide armrests and the add-on upper arm pieces delivery a hugging fee ling Ttbh I got it specifically while I recovered the 6 weeks in a shoulder harness following rotator cuff surgery. Wide seat allows for a standard pillow to easily wedge between my 6'1' 200# frame and support my arm while sleeping. After 3 years, some seams have come apart. We keep it covered and it is only used on occasion. It does wear down like all furniture does, but as with most overstuffed chairs, it is comfortable and the mechanism is still perfectly functional.
