Ratings & Reviews for Raindrip 5/8-In Plastic Compression Drip Irrigation Coupling
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these irrigation couplers for delivering leak-free repairs and reliable performance. Most highlight the compression design's simplicity—no tools, barbs, or clamps required—and report successful connections on 5/8-inch tubing that maintain full water flow. Many emphasize long-term durability and secure fit under normal pressure. Installation requires noticeable force to join tubing, but customers accept this as a fair trade-off for a permanent, maintenance-free seal. A few report sizing issues with black poly hose or mismatched dimensions, though reviewers generally frame these as user error rather than product flaws. Overall, most consider them effective, affordable solutions for irrigation repairs.

Poor substitute for compression couplers
Would Not RecommendThese are second or third choice behind the compression type couplers. Unfortunately Lowes dont carry those.
5/8 inch coupling worked fine
Would RecommendHad to fix a leak in our drip system because of a too large hole made from an old defective quarter inch drip line tubing. The main tubing was 5/8 inch and I cut a small section out of the tubing, slicing on each side of the hole. Pressed the 5/8 inch coupling in, worked fine, no leaks.
Pay attention to Inner/Outer dimensions...
Would Not RecommendMake sure you know the Inner and Outer dimensions of the tubing you will use this on. For example, it did not work on the Toro 5/8 inch tube, which is misleading due to identicaly described 5/8 inch items for both Raindrip & Toro. The Raindrip Company has excellent Customer service, I recommend you check with them first to see if this will work or not. I ended up having to use the Universal Loc from Raindrip, which will accomodate the Toro tubing. Regards.
