Easily replaced a very old sprinkler head I had

Sprinklers were added to my lawn about 1996. One in front row finally cracked, and had to be replaced. While this one was much thinner than the one it replaced, the height was the same so it was flush with the lawn. The new on had a variety of nozzles, pressure and spray width adjustments that allowed me to fit it in seamlessly with my other sprinkler heads. took about 10-15 minutes to complete the installation. W

Simple to set

I am replacing several sprinkler heads and found that these Rain Bird units the simplest to install and set the pattern I hoped for. They come with a variety of nozzles which are not easy to change but are doable.

Best lawn rotor sprayer

The 5000 is the most versatile sprayer out there. If you have enough pressure you can adjust the stream from long distance to a nice short and wide spray. Installed nozzle is best for most all installations, but the rotor comes with a bunch of custom nozzles. Nozzles for more or less gallons per minute and nozzles for low angle spraying to keep water from hitting trees.

Sprinkler works great close and far from it.

The Rainbird sprinkler works well at putting water close and at the outside limit of its distance spec

easy to install and adjust

Very easy to install and adjust, no special tool needed (screw driver only). Remove old head, screw new one on, aligning nozzle with left edge of watering area. Use screw driver to turn screw to set right edge. Adjust distance as necessary.

This item replaced a similar one made by RainBird - that was over 12 years old, and had been run over by mowers all that time. New item was easy to install and adjust the spray pattern to the old one. Hope this one lasts as long - and endures the abuse the last one did!

Great Product that Lasts!

I love the RainBird 5000 rotor sprinkler heads. I purchased a house with Orbit heads in and have replaced nearly all of them because they have malfunctioned with RainBird 5000's. Pay the extra dollar or two for a RainBird, it's worth it. My only problem with the ones at Lowes is that they are super expensive!

Replaced ALL of my sprinkler heads with these

We just bought our house and the sprinklers were all mis-matched and frustrating to adjust. Many of the existing ones were just cracked, broken, and after digging up one and replacing it and setting it, I spent the weekend digging up ALL of them in two zones and replacing them all, even using flexible hosing to move them a bit farther away from the driveway and street so as not to get ran over as easy. These are the most incredibly versatile sprinkler heads I've ever had. They can be modified to go low flow low angle small area, or high flow high angle and shoot well over 30 feet. Would definitely buy again!

Much better than an impulse sprinkler

The hardest part in installing and setting up this sprinkler head is digging up and removing the old head.

Great product and is easily adjustable

I would have like to see an option for continuous 360 degree rotation as opposed to a back and forth motion. I know they use to make those. I'm not sure if they discontinued them or these are the new style.
