Bad Threads

 Would Not Recommend

Threads stripped almost immediately when hand tightening into a standard shower receptacle. Leaked with PTFE tape. Don’t buy.

Try vice grips to remove the old one.

I wasn’t sure how a shower arm is attached inside the wall. I had only replaced the head. The associate at Lowe’s described how it was attached, and recommended the size (it’s available in two different lengths) based on my photo. Everything worked exactly as he said.
