Would RecommendI had one of these for 20 years to filter out sediment. It was very good at that. When I would try for the high end filters to filter out more, they plugged up often. Depends on your water, if a lot of sediment, that is all you will be able to filter. Don't buy this unit expecting the magic, all element filtration of expensive systems. I just bought two to install side by side. One will take sediment & the next, Chlorine, etc, Much cheaper than the tandem $$$$ out there. Also, these use STANDARD...

reduction inlet is 9/16
Would Not RecommendWhile the fitting is 3/4 the actual internal size is smaller seems to be 9/16. This is a restriction to flow.
Needs re-engineering & lower cost
Would Not RecommendTop cut off valve would not move. Bracket is loose after installing PVC fittings. Needs lubricant like WD-40 sprayed in around valve to work free (frozen). Bracket should have been made to the filter housing instead of going around the fittings. This made installation much harder. Just beware!

ByPass Lever Doesn't Turn
Would Not RecommendBought two of these filters to install as double filter system. Was getting ready to install and going over the filter and discovered the bypass lever doesn't turn. Didn't bother trying the second. Returned both.

Clear housing, easy to install
Would RecommendThis filter is easy to install with 3/4" fittings. I used plumber's thread sealant instead of thread tape, which leaked. The mounting bracket uses the 3/4" fittings on each side to hold the filter, which is not ideal, since it will carve off the sealant as you tighten the fitting. The clear housing is excellent, showing the state of the filter. The housing wrench works fine, and its handle fits onto the bypass handle to make turning the bypass handle easier (It is also a convenient place to sto...
