It works kind of

It worked kind of. Borderline defective. I bought five of them for doing large log splitting. The blade edge has the wrong angle, ( too wide) ground into it too long. If you have a split already started at least a 1/3 inch wide it’s fine. But if trying to start a new split even on the edge of along with decayed Hartwood driven by 8 pound sledge, it wants to bounce itself back out on the second or third hit blade edge profile is wrong sinks about a quarter inch inch and then we’ll bounce itself o...

Just the right size to do the right job

Just the right size to do the right job. We have some trees we cut down and some of the larger pieces need splitting so we can burn them in the fire pit. It's just the right size to split the wood and holds up and it was a great price.

Wedge

While downing some large trees I got my chainsaw blade stuck. This was exactly what I needed to take enough pressure off to free it!

Works well enough for the price

Used this paired with a four pound sledgehammer, and it worked well enough. The metal seems on the softer side, and after one wood splitting session, it had quite a few dents on the striking surface. The angle of the grind is something I’m going to have to fix as well, make it slightly more fine.
