Would RecommendIt does what it's supposed to. Lift up all the segments on the outer ring to turn everything off. Push down the segments for the times you want to send power out to what you have plugged into it. There is a switch that turns on the power no matter how the segments are set. I would have paid extra for the one that is a grounded outlet but Lowes was out of them.
