Would RecommendThis garbage disposal is great, so far. Hooking up was easy, operation has been satisfactory. The initial spin of the blades is a little more abrupt when you turn it on, but the sound smooths out after it starts processing food and water down the drain. The pop it makes when it starts scares me. I guess I am waiting for something to pop off and spin out as soon as I start it up. It is very quite. Much more quite than out last one. It's also a little more compact.

Do not buy the suggested accordian pipe connector.
Works great! A friend installed it for me. He's a contractor, and used a simple connector pipe. He said the accordian connector collects debris and grease unless it's cleaned vigorously every couple of months. The disposal itself does a good job of grinding up the scraps and cocoa grounds we feed it. (We drink roasted ground cocoa instead of coffee.) It's fairly quiet, as well. I'm satisfied with it. Also bought the 3 year warranty, just in case.... Would recommend.
