Worked as described to clean out my rigid dryer vent. Used a combination of this kit and a battery-powered leaf blower.

Cleans well

Cleaned duct very well. Do not reverse drill to remove brush. instructions say to tape your connections but I wouldn't trust it. just remove the brush without reversing the drill.

Buy it and clean your vents!!

Worked perfect. Our house is old and our dryer started saying low flow. Seen this while I was buying other stuff. I had wanted to clean it for quite a while now. I’m glad I did and it’s a surprise our house is still standing.

There were not enough poles, it was too short so just blocked further down

Perfect tool

dryer heater failed due to blocked vent. Got lucky with inside connection being without a 90 degree bend. Had to use one section at time to prevent issues using a drill. Always used drill in fwd direction to prevent unscrewing rods. Used electrical tape to keep rods together. Needed extension kit 5327200 to reach roof. REMOVED 3 GALLONS OF LINT.

Satisying DIY

Finally cleaned our dryer vent after 5 years (doubt previous owners did either). This coupled with a strong vacuum on the opposite end cleaned every speck of dust beautifully. We made sveral passes to be sure but it got 99% on the first sweep. We have a long and angled vent- this slid through with no snags and reached the whole length. Very happy and feeling much safer.

Highly Reccomend

#1 tip - do not be a dummy and reverse the drill!!! If you reverse the drill at any time, you will unscrew something, and you could end up with one of the sections and the brush stuck in your vent!! that would be an absolute disaster. #2- run your cordless drill in its low speed setting! You need torque, not rpm to do the job. That being said, this tool is fantastic. Worked like a charm. My only issue is my roof is high, and the 12' of extensions was not enough to reach all he way to the...

Worked well

Worked as designed cleaning the dryer vent. Be sure to tape the threaded connections well because it can come apart when using a drill. The straighter the run the better. I cannot see this being effective with more than one bend in the line. This saved me a lot of effort.

Impressive!

Our dryer has a low flow warning that indicates when there is a blockage somewhere in the dryer vent. Since there is also an offset in the vent line, it is somewhat difficult to get all the lint out of there. That is, until we got this kit! It is great to have the ability to clean the vent out from both ends, and the shop vacuum attachment makes the whole process very neat and clean without any airborne dust. Have attached a picture to show how well it works. No more low flow warnings!

It WORKS!

Before having my new dryer delivered I thought I’d better clean my dryer vent. This kit is amazing! I had no idea that I had a huge amount of dryer lint stuffed into the vent pipe. Honestly, I don’t know how I avoided a fire! Follow the directions exactly as written. I tried to attach 2 rods instead of using one at a time and it bunched up on me and now seems locked together. I have to work at getting them apart. In spite of that, this kit worked so well! I’ve told family and friends about it!
