The compact, pocket-friendly design with retractable blade mechanism offers secure storage and easy portability. Would RecommendThis knife is hands down the most powerful tool Project Source has produced in decades. I was able to cut through a solid cast iron shower drain P trap like it was room temperature butter. Forget those expensive Plasma cutters this little beast is a cut above the rest. 98¢ of pure brutal destructive force.

Great knife
Would RecommendMuch sharper than a regular utility blade since it uses 'real' razors. And the reviewer who complained about how difficult it is to slide the blade in and out was incorrect. It's not supposed to be 'easy' to open the blade because you really don't want these accidentally sliding open when you don't want to. These are incredibly amazing to cut whatever you need, including opening and breaking down boxes. Real razor blades are incredibly sharp so you have to be careful with this.
Great box cutter!
Would RecommendThese small box cutters are getting harder and harder to find. They are so handy to have, I keep them throughout the house, in the car and one in my purse. They work wonderfully and you cannot beat the great price!
Great Value!!
Would RecommendI purchased this box cutter because I lost the one I had prior with a similar design. I preferred this style over larger name brand models for its slimline, lightweight and ease of use design. For the price of the cutter and 6 blades, I probably wont mind if I lose this one in the future. Cant go wrong at the price they sell them at!
Difficult to slide up
Would Not RecommendI was looking for a box cutter for work and saw this was only 98 cents. You get what you pay for. The red handle really caught my attention and it came with 6 blades, if you count the one in the handle already. The blades work fine and cut well. However, it is really difficult to slide the blade up to use and especially to hide the blade.
Not Your Usual Box/Carton Cutter
Would RecommendFirst I want to give Lowe's kudos for carrying such a low cost, low profit, but highly popular and convenient tool. Very few places that sell tools have these anymore. Only the higher cost sliding Utility Knives advertized as Box Cutter. They are not. This box cutter is unique in that it uses a complete aluminum shell, instead of a folded up piece of steel, making it lighter nicer. Comes in colors. Secondly, it provides a permanent pull/position resistance tab stamped into the blade carrier, in...
Very difficult to open and close out of the pkg. Once it was oiled lightly and worked a bit, it work like any other box cutter.
Just the cutter you're looking for!
Would RecommendIf you're looking for a box cutter, this is the one! A box cutter and 5 blades for 98 cents, can't beat that! One complaint some people, including me, have is that they are way too stiff, This is because of a tab on the inner part that controls the stiffness. Just bend it down slightly with a pair of pliers or hit it with a hammer and, presto, it slides in and out easily! You can always make it stiffer by bending it back up with a screw driver. For $7 you get 100 extra blades, enough to last a ...
Blade Movement not so good
Would Not RecommendOpening and closing the blade is very clumsy. Both handle and blade are flimsy meaning that they bend more than they should, thus the cutting is not very consistent. I will source a heavier product next time to avoid this.
Light weight and sturdy box cutter
Would RecommendI work in a print shop and I was looking for a knife that used some sort of razor blades. Tried the bigger knives and they are god but I wanted something smaller. I've used this for 4 weeks and this works great. Hardly even know it is in my pocket and it it easy to use. For the price compared to the other larger knives it serves me well.

Last of its kind.
Would RecommendLowe's was one of the few stores to carry one of these old style carton cutters. I like this style because they are like an extension of your hand. I have been stocking for over 13 years and prefer this style of carton cutter over others. I have not owned this Brand long enough to make a judgement on its longevity, but they usually break right at the end where the blade is held.
Still just a box cutter
Would RecommendIt's a box cutter, they've been around for years. This one is no different. Don't cut off your fingers with it and make sure you pull the cover over it before you put it in your pocket.
really durable
Would Recommendi've been usimg it at work for a while now, it is durable and reliable
