Lamp Socket for Table Lamp

I bought this to overhaul a table lamp made in 1955. This socket kit was very easy to install and works perfectly. Recommend this for any DIY lamp project.

Easy and quick

Just right for rewiring old lamps. The switch is easy to find in the dark and the push style is much superior to the twist type switch. I have used this kit on about 15 old but pretty "yard sale" lamps and it works flawlessly. I am not "handy" but the kit makes me look like I am.

Handy lamp kit

This kit contains everything you need to "electrify" whatever you need to put a light in. Even if it contained several "plugs" that you may press into a bottle I, myself, didn't need that. On neat thing, you don't have to drill any hole for the cord as the socket has a handy hole on its side where you can put the cable instead of putting it through your bottle.

Did not include required part

It says in the instructions that you need a saddle to complete the lamp, but it doesn't include one. On the back it says "hardware included" and gives no indication that a supposedly necessary part of the lamp construction is missing. Do not buy this!

Lamp Socket

Excellent product. Easy to assemble. I'm not convinced the 1/4" of bare wire is enough to safely secure the power cord to the socket. The bottle stoppers are fine IF your bottle openings are of those sizes. If not, you will need to do something else or modify the stoppers included using "something" to fill any gap.

Good product...but expensive!

Good product and worked for what Inwanted to do. You can find this product for about $4 cheaper at other retailers.

Lamp kit

Kit was just what it was described. Only detractors on it was it came only with white cord.

Last time purchase

The product itself was fine, but found same type of product for half the price at another store

Bottle Socket

Very difficut to get it apart to wire it. Damaged the socket doing so and it was unusable. Would never buy again!

Lamp parts work

I was building a prototype lamp and needed the electrical parts to be inexpensive and work. So far so good. Cannot complain on the price, and the durability seems okay.
