What Customers Are Saying
The plastic putty knife is generally viewed as an effective and affordable tool for small home improvement tasks like filling holes, applying spackle, and scraping off paint. Key strengths include its ease of use and ability to avoid damaging surfaces compared to metal tools. However, some customers noted the plastic construction makes it less durable, with a risk of breaking or leaving marks on certain materials. For more demanding jobs, a higher-quality metal putty knife may be preferable, but the plastic version appears suitable for basic DIY needs.

Durable plastic scraper
Would RecommendIt’s pretty sturdy for a plastic scraper. Got the job done for me. I used It to scrape off paint and paint remover from wood
Plastic Putty Knife
This product is durable plastic which can be sanded to a workable edge
This tool requires creativity like adding WD-40.
Would RecommendI use this to scrape old tape and other materials off things I don’t want damaged. Right size, good grip, will not scratch the paint off my surfaces. This is the second one I own, one for my garden shed, one for my utility room. The drawback is that it’s pliable so not as efficient as a metal one.
Too much pressure might snap it.
Would RecommendSo far it has done exactly what it is supposed to. It is flexible, but not to flexible.
Perfect for a small job.
Would RecommendPrice was great and it worked fine to apply spackle to sheet rock.
Great for disposable product
Would RecommendSince I don't use them very often, I have a bad habit of losing putty knives/allowing them to rust. This is a great low cost alternative that I can use for one project and throw away. I wouldn't want to use this for a large project, but to fill a few screw holes in drywall this works great.
This works exactly as expected for a putty knife.
Would RecommendThis two in one plastic putty knife was able to get the job done for exactly what I needed it for. I used it to apply liquid masking tape to a project I painted. I wanted to keep a portion of my paint project free from the paint, so I used this putty knife to apply the product. It was sturdy enough to hold the product and allowed me to apply it directly where I needed it.
Worked well
Would RecommendWorks just fine for the project that I needed. Probably wouldn’t last a long time Being that it’s plastic but good for a single project

Multi purpose
Would RecommendI bought a couple of these plastic putty knifes and use them for a few different projects. They are inexpensive, light, easy to clean and adequate for most projects. I have used them on soft wood furniture projects to scrape off stripping gel and they get the job done nicely. I also use them to mix oil paints to spread on canvas. I'm only complaint is the sticker leaves a residue but overall they've been pretty great, so I would recommend them.
