It turns on. It turns off. It also has a convenient size/shape and is simple and effective.

On-Off switches for Christmas lights

I have purchased similar switches at Lowes. This configuration is new. I find the switches useful for interrupting and reconnecting the power to strings of Christmas lights through throwing a simple rocker switch.

Works like it should

Make it much easier than plugging and replugging non grounded items.

Handy Plug-in Switch

The polarized rocker switch is solidly constructed and mounts in a standard duplex wall outlet without interfering with the open socket. Design will allow 2 placed side-by-side to switch separate circuits. (Some other similar designs do not allow this.) Switch lights when 'on' - a nice feature. Very please with the purchase.

Nice with a light.

I had a switch like this before. This one is nice because when it's on the switch is illuminated, so it's very handy.

It is well made. Plug cover is strong, solid build. Need time to verify if switch will last long enough

I have two of these

I have one in my kitchen outlet which controls the power to my Air Fryer otherwise, the unit, stays on. I have another in the outlet next to my recliner so I can easily turn on the table lamp that's out of arm's distance. Love them!

Very useful - BUT NEED A GROUNDED (3-WIRE) VERSION

This is great for lights and other non grounded electrical devices where an on/off switch is not on the device BUT What would make this a 5 star rating would be if it was grounded!!

Bad Unit

Maybe i'll update this when I exchange it for a new one but the unit I purchased was a dud. Switch light up but the plug was very loose to the point my lamp plug started to fall out. It would only make electrical connection if i placed sideways pressure on the cord. Hopefully the replacement model is better but i'll willing to bet it's a cheap/bad design and the whole box at the store is probably defective.

Great little gadget!

This is the best little gadget ever for when you need to add an on/off switch for a device that doesn't have one (like my new Pace 4111N modem# Simply plug your device into this and then into the wall outlet and voila! --- No more plugging and unplugging and fishing around for the cord! #Thanks too to the Brooklyn, Ohio store manager for using the handy-dandy inventory locator to help me find it in the store!# #ONLY WISH IT CAME IN BLACK too so it would match the modem and power cord)

Wish it was 3 prong.

It does well what it was designed to do. Wish they stocked one with 3 prongs though.

Excellent quality

The switch is wonderful. It's nice if you take the extra initiative and get some high quality mounting tape and use it to keep it in the plug so it won't eventually rock out of the plug and need to be pushed back in the wall socket.

I love this!

This is perfect for something that you plug and unplug daily, such as a coffeemaker or decorative lights. It saves wear and tear on the outlet. I wish I would've discovered this years ago!

Does what it's meant to do...

I find it funny that Lowe's actually has me review some purchases I've made such as this one but here goes... I plugged it in, plugged in my lamp to it, flipped the switch to on and it turned on my lamp. Flipped the switch to off and the lamp shut off. Not much else to this product, to be honest.

Great device

It is easy to just flip a switch instead of finding the switch on the lamp, etc. and turning it on and off. Just convenient.

Well made and has an "on" light under the switch

This product is very well designed and built, and an improvement over switches I've seen in the past. Like the LED light under the switch.
