Initially worked well although seemed dimmer than it should be. One night it became super bright. Smelled something burning, then it went out so I took it down. Back of housing melted and deformed. Lucky the house didn't burn down.

Bad Design

I bought this light over the more simple version. The more simple version has screws that go directly into the electrical box through the body of the light ensuring a true flush mount agains the ceiling. While these have a slightly sleeker esthetic design, which I was after, they mount using a clip system. Easy to install

Such a nice light. It has a metal bracket that mounts to the ceiling box. The light has a couple of spring clips that easily push into the bracket. Very easy to install. The adjustable light color is also a nice feature. Easily to select with a switch on the back of the light.

Good Lighting for Our Bathroom

Exactly what we wanted for our bathroom. The available light characteristics are useful -- as is the dimming capability. The one of these we use effectively supplements the other lighting we have (above our mirror) and the pricing is very reasonable.

Only mounts to rigidly installed boxes.

Tried to use this light as a replacement for your typical hallway ceiling light. The 4 inch box was nailed to a joist above the drywall in a typical fashion. Pushing upward to latch the light on to the mounting bracket would push one side of the box up and the latches would not "catch". Further, you obviously cannot see inside the box while trying to "seat" the fixture. I managed to get one of the wires trapped under the latch and nicked it. Easy install, selectable color temperature, bright

This flush-mounted easily into a ceiling box in replacement for a 1990s chandelier. Getting the old fixture down was not difficult, and installing this replacement was VERY easy. Not "Flush Mount" and Won't Work with Pancake Box

Perhaps my definition of "flush mount" is different from theirs, but these have about a 1" "hump" on the back that extends into the junction box above and makes them incompatible with 1/2" "pancake" boxes. You cannot see this on any view in the listing.

Mounting plate issues

NOT easy to install. For what it's worth, I've installed hundreds of fans/fixtures in my life. Many other reviews have noted the poor design of the mounting plate for this light. I tried two separate junction boxes trying to resolve the issue and spent even more time adjusting the height for each of them and the light still would not snap in properly.
