Old school riser
I prefer cut off risers over fixed height nipples. It allows for custom heights. When cut properly, the threat on easier.

Lack of selected Rainbird replacement parts.
Would RecommendI am no longer abler to find the 1/2" riser cut offs in Male to Femaie. This requires purchase of added couplings `1/2" Female-Female and doubles the number of replacement parts necessary. Supplies are limited for Rainbird sprinklers in many stores and sometimes hard to find.
