Would RecommendI've had metal mailboxes int he past and they are easily bent so the door never quite closes right and I'm always adjusting it. The plastic box looks nice and is flexible enough to tolerate minor abuse so the door closes with a nice detent and holds. Also has a nice knob to open the door. Also, the inside bottom of the mailbox has ridges so mail can be left vertical in the box so it is easy to grab and don't have to use two hands to grab and slide the mail out into the other hand. Would RecommendThis mailbox is plastic, so it won’t rust, and the door snaps into place securely. It’s a normal size that fits some packages and it is very weather safe. Our old metal mailbox had lichen all over it and the post was rotting. This replacement post and box provide nice curb appeal.
