What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this connector. Many praise the design for simplifying installations and appreciate the waterproof housing and screw-top security. However, a substantial portion report serious wire compatibility issues—16-gauge wire often fails to pierce properly, and 12 or 14-gauge wire won't fit despite claims. Reviewers also note alignment difficulties requiring precise wire positioning and durability concerns, with some reporting pin corrosion and breakage after one year. Despite these drawbacks, most satisfied customers highlight ease of use and reliable short-term performance.

Would Not RecommendGood design, poor execution. Tried to follow directions, which weren’t great, but could not get lights to light after several attempts. Saw other reviews I wasn’t alone. Even tightened down with pliers, still no luck. Ended up splicing wires old school style. Success!

Failed after 1 year
Would Not RecommendUsed 8 of these connectors to hook up my landscape lights and buried them. They all failed after a year. After digging them up I found the vampire pins in each one had corroded and broke off. Whats the point of using these outdoors if they can't handle moisture?
Will not work for 18 gauge fixture wire.
Would Not RecommendThese do a good job connecting to the main cable but will not work on 18 ga fixture wire. The wire slot is too wide for the wire and you can only connect one wire--not two. There are better choices available.
Easy as pie!
Would RecommendSuper easy to setup, no tools required, and looks very sturdy. Installation was a breeze.
The "redesign" ruined it! It is way more difficult
Would Not RecommendThe old design had two wire terminals on the top so you could easily insert the two wires going to the fixture into the two holes and lock them in place with the included small screws. You could use any size wire from the fixture. Now its pot luck to get the only 16 gauge size wire into the fixture connector. Its a real pain and I am done with the once very good connectors.
Easy Connect for 12 Volt Lighting
Would RecommendEasy to use to connect lights to an existing system. This is the best invention yet for adding lights to a 12 volt system. Super easy to use, and easy to find any issues prior to burying the line.
Landscape wiring connectors
Would RecommendThese connectors work great with flat two wire landscape lighting wire.
Be patient
Keeping the cable in place to make the connection is sometimes hard to do.
Great Low-Voltage Connectors
Would Not RecommendGreat connectors and so much easier to splice cables together with these as you can tighten with the screw-top. They also work well in outdoor environments being plastic.
