Would Not RecommendThese are very strong, A++ I used them to hang a sheet ghost from the gutters over the garage door for Halloween. They were so strong that they were a bit to clamp for this Grandma, but I got the job done. That ghost did not fly away in the Halloween winds!

Super tight spring, so holding shade getting to poles is no problem .... Once you get the clamp open. Only about 1/4 to 1/2 inch width and I used both hands but again, it holds the items being clamped, for sure!
