Would RecommendThis new flap is sturdier than the old one and the magnetic closure is better. The flap, as it ages, gets somewhat curvy on the sides, which lets airflow through. The new one is straight and provides a pretty good seal.

Would RecommendOur original door flap had gotten warped and not making a good seal when closed. The replacement flap was just what we needed and installation was very easy. We are very satisfied with the product.

Seems like a good replacement flap. Would've been nice if the little plastic tab that the screws go into came with it since that piece is probably weather beaten and brittle (at least ours was). Had to just use small bolts to attach it to the metal piece that's between the flap and plastic tab...

Would Recommend8 years ago I picked up this dog door as a gift to myself and my two pitbulls. For 8 years these two dogs have been bolting in and out of their dog door at breakneck speed and the only maintenance I've ever performed on the door has been on the rare occasion that I decide it's time to clean the flap.

Would RecommendHad the dog door for nearly 3 years. Two 55-60 lb active pit bull mix and one very active cow dog use this thing constantly with no problems. Although the sun never shines directly on it West Texas wind and 100+ degrees weather call for several adjustments to get it to perform flawlessly. Thinking of buying a new flap only because their noses have worn a spot on the door to the point it won’t even clean anymore so not because of function or failure but more of a cosmetic preference.No tears from...
