These things work perfectly, for less than $3. I'd rather they give these out instead of the wood stirrer. If you want to seal the bucket after pouring, just put a balloon over the spout, like you were fermenting mead in a carboy, I guess another analogy would be a condom. Of course this is a temporary seal and solution for working with the bucket later in the day, but it will keep it from drying out while your work.

Paint spout, 5 GL bucket

Spout worked as advertised. However a simple rubber or plastic cover over the spout would go a long way in sealing the bucket. This saves time replacing the spout with the buckets cap and eliminates any messes with the paint inside of the spout

Works will with your 5-gallon buckets of paint. Pretty much no spill at all. Removable base piece allows for different types of connections, depending on what you're using. Overall great product. Easy to use and very handy.

Sloppy But Does The Job

The spout works well enough but a good deal of liquid escapes around he edges because there is no seal with the 5 gal can lid. Suggest putting a roller tray underneath the spout when pouring to catch the excess. A cap or temporary seal for the spout would better than the screw lip that's supplied so you could keep the spout in overnight/when you don't empty the 5 gal can completely.

This thing is amazing. Made pouring paint from a 5 gallon buckets so much easier, more precise and cleaner.

Works well with wall and ceiling paint, but the primer was too thick and took forever to pour with this spout.

Doesn’t include a cap to seal so I don’t recommend

Fits the five gallon bucket fine, but there is no cap, so immediately after pouring the paint you have to stop, remove the spout (usually this sends some paint flying), wipe around the lid and then rinse off the paint in the spout before it dries. I would be great, if it had a cap to seal it… dumb design.

Disconnect the two pieces to use

Had to look online to figure out how to use it. Take the two pieces apart. Then pop the grey part into the hole on the paint bucket lid. Worked like a charm.
