Very good on first (heavy duty) use.

It's a basic grinder that works well. I've only used for 20 minutes so far but that was scrubbing the surface off concrete walkways with a wire brush attachment (I'm going to need more wire brushes).It has a much power as I can comfortably handle.

Not What They Used To Be

Once upon a time Porter cable was my go-to tool company. Not so much anymore. My las two didn't last more that few months and this time the grinder I bought didn't work out of the box. Since I waited too long before trying to use it I missed the return date. I contacted Porter Cable to have it repaired under warranty. Porter Cable products SUCK

Unable to replace the blade on PC WOOD METAL FLUSH CT SAW. Unacceptable. Also the three gun nailers that came with my PC COMPRESSOR ALL DIED despite perfect maint as per Pc specs. The compressor lives but all three nail guns are DEAD. DO NOT BUY PC products. Cheap Chinee crap. Horrible!

Good Value Grinder

This is a good value. Very sturdy. Quite heavy, but not excessive. The trigger is solid and lockable. The cord is long enough and strong enough. Some may not like the long reach back to the trigger compared to grinders that are held closer to the grinding wheel, but I love it. It gives you excellent control. The shield rotates enough but barely so. Everything just feels sturdy. The noise is significant and I am glad someone mentioned that the bearings are loud so I know that's normal. Overall, a...

Short Lifespan

Bought this grinder to grind glue off of concrete porches. Felt solid and worked well until the gearbox or bearings failed and the grinder started rattling and smoking. This grinder had only about 20 hours of use before it failed. It is possible that concrete got sucked into the works, but grinders are supposed to work in dusty environments.

old school grinder

This grinder says it weights 3 lbs but feel a lot like 10 lbs. Your holding it out about like putting a pound on a ten foot pole. It's double or tripled. If you want a light weight get the model without the handle. But this model will keep your fingers well away from harm as long as you use the handle and guard. People that remove the guard or put a bigger wheel on by removing the guard are just practicing how to lose a finger. 😩

Great grinder. Has plenty of power for my job of cutting through concrete. Didn’t surge at all and the lock trigger makes everything easier. Definitely recommended.
