Good, but not in hot locations

Easy to use. Works as expected, but high temperatures can be a problem. When air temperature approaches 100° and the timer is in direct sunlight, the electronics flakes out and behavior becomes eratic. Have to take it inside to cool it down to get it working again. Seems to do better if kept in the shade.

These timers are very easy to use.

I purchased 2 last summer and this year needed more. They work wonderfully, the AA batteries lasted all summer long. Great buy.

Water while you’re out of town

Great when used in combination with soaker hoses

I use these with my soaker hoses around the foundation of my house. This helps keep the soil from drying up and causing cracking.

Easy to use, affordable watering solution

The design is really intuitive. I was able to connect the device and successfully set up a watering schedule without having to read the manual. The device seems well made and works flawlessly. It basically saved my garden from the extreme heat while I was on vacation recently. (Our in-ground system has multiple leaks, and this little gadget was a perfect stop gap until we can get our system fixed.)

Doesn’t Last

This doesn’t last very long…just a few summers. Unfortunately we keep buying one, due to NOT wanting to spend twice as much, and keep thinking “this one will be better”….and keep getting disappointed.

Timer Works

Easy to Install. I was able to install it and set the timer. The works turns on and off like clock work. It’s super simple and problem solving. My yard is getting the water it needs. I would recommend this product if you don’t have a sprinkler system.

Leaks and water pressure problem

Even with Teflon, and tighten with pliers, I cannot get a good seal. It leaks. I haven’t decided yet if I can live with it, but that’s at least a few gallons of water wasted every day. The little filter on the water-in side obstructs the flow of water to the point that I had to remove it. When connected through the timer, water coming out of my oscillating sprinkler was only reaching a few inches high vs. at least 10 feet when connected directly. I should have read the reviews before purchasing ...

Avoid at all costs

I've bought two separate timers from Orbit, the first one leaked i side the unit and corroded the motherboard. It eventually stopped opening the valve. The second (this unit) lasted for less than a year and started literally bursting at the seams! i won't be buying any more Orbit products, waste of time and money,l, and water....

It was a replacement. Appreciate that it available. Pick up option was unbelievably fast!

I've bought two of these timers that won't hold a battery for any length of time. It doesn't seem to matter what type of batteries I use--rechargable, standard, Energizer, Duracell, etc etc, a week in and the batteries are drained and the timer no longer works. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Very useful for everyday watering of plants.

This particular one was defective.

Although I have used and appreciated other such timers in the past, this one was defective. I attached it to the hose bib, turned on the water, and the timer immediately began to leak water from the back. I looked it over but couldn't figure out a way to remedy that problem. So I must have gotten a lemon.
