Would Recommendeasy to install , frame is slightly larger than 8x8 so it covers a bad cut job perfectly. I painted panel the wall color so is barely noticeable.

Would Not RecommendBought this to hide pipes and wires exposed by a plumbing repair. Installing it was simple and it worked great -- *the first time.* Removing the panel to finish the drywall repair made the wire unusable -- it won't stay in place -- making it impossible to use as designed to put it back in. The panel itself is fine, but the way the wire is designed and implemented is garbage.

Would RecommendMy Type X ceiling was installed into 2x4 trusses and framing supports between trusses. My required access hole to a plumping clean out over-lapped framing lumber on two sides. I was able to cut the plastic insert to shorten the corners to allow the ceiling plate to fit flush to the ceiling. As long as the spring closing locks have clear space above them, they will snap in place and make a tight seal to the ceiling.
