Would RecommendUp upstairs bathroom needed some plumbing down and they had to cut a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom downstairs. Rather than dry way it we were tying to come up with something else,this worked perfect in case they ever have to do anymore work. It’s a old house so this worked great

Drywall access panel
Would RecommendJust measure the back raised lip and transfer measurements onto drywall...then using a utility knife, score the lines all around. Then using a drywall saw, slowly follow the scored drywall until it is loose. Remove drywall and dry fit the cover. It should fit snug. Remove and put a nice bead of adhesive caulk on the back flange completely around. Place covrr in opening and apply firm pressure all around to seat it completely. Let dry overnight. You are done.
