This is my second sprayer in 20 years. Very reliable. Nice product

Concept, great, quality just not there.

I’m about to get my fourth unit. I’ve had three over the past two years and the concept and the ease of use is awesome but the quality of parts is just not there. The siphon hose, especially is vulnerable in that it loses its elasticity almost as if it was dipped in some type of a solvent. I would love someone from Ortho call me.

Poor instructions for Ortho products

Product is fine but if you’re promoting how easy it is to use with Ortho concentrates, then maybe put the correct ratio to use with the Hose End Sprayer on one or both products! In this case I’m at a loss how to measure what says 24 oz to one gallon in this sprayer…it only goes up to 8oz per gallon rate :-/

Poor application instructions

I bought the Dial N Spray to apply a crabgrass/annual bluegrass inhibitor to my lawn. The application rate is 1 qt per acre. There is not any sprayer dilution information or guidance on how to meet this application rate. What is your recommendation?

Do not purchase doesn’t work

I purchased this dial in hose end sprayer last fall. Tried to use it one time last fall and the chemical was not being pulled from the bottle. Now it is spring and thought I would try it again. Again did not draw the chemical out of the bottle, so I cleaned the straw and the trigger assembly with compressed air. Now when I use the hose end sprayer the bottle fills with water. Using Ortho weed killer so it is not the product.

Doesn’t last long before it failed

I was excited to Try this hose end sprayer because the lawn community seems to have a higher opinion of the sprayer. I bought one at my local garden store. Everything seems to Be fine until I added more solution for the second run and noticed the sprayer just continued spraying without me, pulling the trigger. This is very disappointing for a product to only work once.

Please add this feature to a hose end sprayer.

I like this sprayer and recommend it, HOWEVER, the cup and the body do not have a good firm connection. On day one the cup and the body did not tighten correctly, the cup was past its obvious placement. It's as if the threads aren't a good firm match. On another note: why isn't there a nozzle or attachment that sprays up. I'm treating Azaleas for lace bugs "a tiny bug that feeds on the UNDERSIDE of the plants leaves". Too many unknowns

This unit needs to come with clear instructions, otherwise a person has to do a LOT of testing to understand how it's going to work for them. ON the unit it should say what the dispense rate is. It's not enough to have a dial with oz. settings or tsp. settings. So, if the dispense rate for the unit is per gallon then it SHOULD SAY it's per gallon so a person doesn't have to spend a lot of time researching how this thing works. Next, even THAT isn't enough. Vague mixing instructions with non ortho products

A good product,,but agree with others on vague mixing instructions,,to me ortho is trying to push you into buying their products but if you are a chemist or a mathematician it is easily calculated with a hand held calculator.

Missing dispenser information

There are alot of numbers on dial but have no idea abiut units of measure. Instruction booklet and this Web site has ni ibformation.Ortho should be enbassased by this SNAFU.

Poor craftman ship. Sprayer leaks all the time now

I bought this dial N sprayer 2 months ago. I have noticed that there is more water coming from where sprayer a where it connected on the red part of the sprayer.Not where you connect the water hose. The water is coming from how it's made.

Spray not powerful enough, leaks

I purchased one of these and returned it. The spray didn't spray very far, and it leaked. I have an older one I really like, and need to replace it, but I can't find one. Why does everyone need to reinvent a good thing?

Time and money wasted

This product does not work. Bought two and am garbaging two. Do not waste your $. Product does not flow. I am not happy.

Leaks same spot as other reviewers

Leaks badly from handle coupling. Poor quality. Not recommended

Tried it twice now with different stuff, and it will not suck up anything. Throwing in the towel with this unit.

Work as should

Works as it should. The only thing I say needs an improvement is allowed the Concentrate bottles be able to attach to the sprayer.

Almost no flow

I was able to spray only 4 ounces of BioAdvanced Season Long Weed Killer for lawns, despite three passes over the area. The recommended amount was 11 ounces (.8 oz per 500 sf at the 1 oz. setting.) I noticed afterward that the hose inside was kinked 1/4” from the top. So I cut it off there and reattached it. I’m hoping this will improve the flow enough. But I am doubtful. Even a kinked hose should have worked better.

Leaked

I have had these (2) for awhile now. When I connected them to the water hose, both of them leaked badly from the plastic handle above the threaded connector. Washers were in place on the connector. Poor design for the handle as it appears they are snapped together pieces with gaps where the water was leaking from.

Quality Control Problem

I have 2 complaints on this product. The first is minor, as the plastic bottle becomes brittle with age, The second complaint comes with my purchase of a replacement sprayer lasr month. I could not get the sprayer to deliver product on the settings above 3. I did not try it at a lower setting. Upon taking the sprayer apart I found that there were no siphon holes present for the settings above 3. Since I wanted to deliver a large amount, I drilled a hole at the 8 setting (1/8 of an inch), p...
