A few report minor hardware issues or occasional engagement problems, but these are rare. Overall, most customers consider it an excellent, dependable choice for residential gates and fences.

Would RecommendMetal is a little thinner and screws are smaller than my original so i have to use the old screws and make the holes on product just a tad bigger. The round bar is also a little shorter so i have to make one hole closer to make it work. YMMV on what your original is but it functions as advertised and now my side gate is locked again.

Easy to install and works great!
The only drawback is, I wish they would have made the hitch bar a tad longer. Other than this, it worked out great. I opted not to use the screws that came with it, as the screws just didn't look long enough to grab and stay into the post where needed. Those screws would have caused the hitch to come loose within 5 or 6 uses, as most people don't "softly" shut a gate and tend to let it slam shut.
