Worked well, meant for drinking water

I was looking for a test kit for an irrigation well and this was the closest thing I could find. It worked well, found out my well water was fairly acidic (ph 5) with lots of iron. Not really a surprise, but good to know for sure. I thought it was easy to use and the instructions were clear.

Disappointed

I shocked my 500 foot deep well and needed to check the chlorine ppm for drinking status. The test did work well but only came with (2) Six Test Strips. Since the maximum ppm allowance for drinking is less than 4 ppm and my analysis was well above that, I will need to go back to the store and purchase more testing strips. Complete test

The kit was easy to use and provided results quickly and rather economically as compared to lab tests.

Water test kit

Relatively easy to use and provides all the information you may need. Wasn’t able to compare to a laboratory result but it appeared accurate.

expensive for inconclusive

bought this to test primarily for lead. only came with 1 lead tester vs double of everything else. testing came back inconclusive, so I basically paid 33 bucks for nothing. If I could return it I would. Do not recommend.

Relatively Easy Home Test

This kit is relatively easy to use and gives you a good idea what problems - if any- your home water might have. It was thorough enough to tell me that I can get by with a good particulate filter that adds minerals for taste and don’t need an extensive and expensive larger filter system. I think it would be accurate enough to tell you if you should pursue a professional water analysis.

Waste of money

Unless your water is off the scale, this uses a plain color code mode that is not specific enough to make adjustments to your water.

Appreciating such a kit

Thorough test kit for water quality. Too bad the color shades for test strip comparisons can’t be more differentiated. Could provide for more detailed readings, but it seems ball park readings are considered sufficient for a homeowner tests. The Lead and Pesticide test instructions should be improved; picture shows a lot more water than should be in the test vile; directions for using the dropper should describe what I was later told was an overflow reservoir; directions should say to only apply...

Very clear instructions and all the vials, test strips etc. that you need.

Worth the price for your primary residence or if you plan to move. Test it.

read the back carefully

My water suddenly started to smell and taste bad. With a quick google search it seemed like I had either hydrogen sulfide or iron bacteria in my water from the tap. So I bought this kit quickly to rule out any safety issues. Should have read more carefully because the two tests that I needed are just sniff tests. Like, thanks, I know it smells bad, but how hard would it be to just include another test strip for both of these issues. $30 later and I don't have the answer. Everything else checked ...
