The instrument performs as described by the seller. It doesn't excellent job deterring moisture level light and pH master this is helpful in determining a schedule of morning and when to add fertilizer. Although I do once a week and coffee grounds as a means of growing my plants.

Total Junk - Doesn't even pretend to work

The needle doesn't move at all. It even has a setting for light, and I put it directly under a bright light, real close and needle still doesn't move. PH of soil doesn't move the meter, and wet soil and dry soil are the same, with the meter not moving. They claim it doesn't require a battery, and the back of the unit doesn't come off, so I have no idea if there was some battery in there that is dead. They shouldn't even sell a product like this. If they were an honest company, they wouldn...

All i was needing was a moisture meter for my indoor plants. For someone in to nursery plants it would have been ideal but for me it had more than what i needed. Worked fine.

To look at the dial for judging houseplant needs.

Like: It's accurate and very easy to use. Kind of 'didn't like': As a first time user of any meter like this, I thought I had to use the chart on the back to know if my house plants needed water or not, and the chart didn't list one of the plants I had. I finally realized that all I needed to do was look at the dial and it indicates what moisture does or does not need to be added or if it's ok. A simple wand points to where it appears on the 'dry', 'moist', and 'wet line which is color coded...

was looking to buy for a friend, who is a beginner in gardening. I wanted a simply one to tell is soil was wet, but could not find this time of year, so bought what you had.

BUY!

It’s very effective in determining the moisture and ph of the soil I use it on all my plants daily however the light meter doesn’t seem to be all that great but it’s possible my light sources aren’t as strong as I thought!

pH meter does work

It works but does not have good resolution. The scale is very small and only shows the whole numbers (8, 7, 6, 5, 4) with a small gap between them. To test it I stuck the probe into our yard soil at various locations and in our raised bed. It was difficult to visually tell a difference between the locations (all were around 7, some a little higher and others lower). But they were all about what I'd expect. But given the reviews, I didn't know if it was really working because the needle didn't ch...

Didn’t work, returned it for another and it doesn’t measure moisture, pH, or light.

Useless

Never worked, in none of the three functions. Stayed flat lined with every test. Returned it. Bought another. Same problem, accept it did react slightly with bright light.

Not sturdy

It seems to work, at least for moisture.

Great value

It has more than one use. It measures amount of light, moisture and soil ph.

First use - broken

I inserted the probe into a flower pot using the meter for the first time. When I pulled it out of the soil to read the results, a tip was missing, and a wire was hanging out of the shaft!
