The feel of this knife is wonderful! Very light and balanced and easy to control. Straight out of the box it sliced and chopped so smoothly with no resistance.

This is my first quality knife purchase as a chef and needless to say that the Miyabi 8 inch Chefs Knife has not disappointed. The weight and design allow for flawless use throughout the home and in professional kitchen. This is the first of many purchases I make from this collection

I would recommend this as a must have general ise kitchen knife. The handle sits very comfortably in the hand and has a very sharp edge straight out of the box.

Executive chef

The blade is a little taller like western style knives so if you have bigger hands your knuckles will not drag. Would recommend for someone looking for a fun twist between Japanese and German style blades.

Sharpest Knife in the Drawer

I got this as a Christmas gift and I absolutely love it. It beats out any knife I've ever owned easily. I would highly recommend this if you're tired of your dull kitchen knife set and don't want to buy an entire new set. This one knife can do a lot.
