What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the smooth application and professional-quality finish, noting it goes on evenly without bubbles and produces beautiful high-gloss or satin results. Many highlight fast drying times—often two hours between coats—and excellent coverage, requiring only two coats instead of three. The durable finish and cost-effectiveness drive repeat purchases. However, a notable group expresses frustration with strong, lingering odors that can persist for days or weeks in poorly ventilated spaces. Some report dried film forming in the can and inconsistencies between container sizes. Despite these concerns, most customers consider the superior finish quality and efficiency worthwhile.

Would Recommend4 stars. I sanded a bathroom floor with an orbital sander. First I will say it is an old floor and some of the boards were slightly cupped. Due to orbital sanding I did not take the time and effort to get floor completely flat. I used a lambskin applicator which seemed to work well, highly recommend. Truly is a satin sheen, no shinyness for the most part. However there are a couple of spots that have some shiny streaks. Last coat down yesterday so I'm hoping these are uncured spots that will ta...

Not really clear!
Would Not RecommendI bought this a few days ago to cover a floor I had painted white. Though the polyurethane was a very light brown color, I applied it anyway. I assumed it would dry clear as the can said 'clear'. It did not. My floor looks terrible. It's a huge room. I don't know how to fix it, apart from sanding it and starting over again. While the coating seems durable, it looks like someone spilled weak coffee on the floor.

Smell won't go away
Would Not RecommendI used the fast drying polyurethane for our hardwood floors. I did the work nearly 2 months ago and the smell will not go away. The window has been opened ever since AND I have the fan running for weeks now. Is there anything I can do to make the smell go away. This is a bad experience and will never purchase minwax products again.
