Great little radio

Bought this specifically for a trip out west but have found myself using it with my buddies on camping trips more often than our cb’s. Very quite operation. Range is good. Voice is crisp and clear. Functions are fairly easy once you learn the proper ways to use them. Weather stations are clear also and come in handy when you’re “off the grid” in the woods somewhere and need weather updates. Small radios, large range, great buy

We farm in some very uneven and hilly ground. Previous radios barely had enough range for 3 miles, but these radios exceeded our expectations. We paired these with MXT115s and they worked great. Our main tractors and combines had the micromobiles and our truckers had the X talkers. There were a few times when we had range over 12 miles away which for our area is amazing. Very pleased with this product. Great battery life, very light and portable, and the mic volume is great. Highly recommend

Works just like it should

We use Two-Way Radios around our Feed and Seed Store to aid in our communication and be able to load customers quickly and efficiently. We really like the X-talker Radios! They are easy to use, dependable and affordable. (Just don't drop them in water.....) We appreciate Midland because we know we can trust their customer service. Can't say enough good things about these radios.

Absolutely love there. They have been our go-tos for camping, hiking, skiing, spotting while offroading and more. They are reliable, the battery life is awesome, and they recharge via USB in a pinch. What more could you ask for?

Great battery life

I use these radios out on the trail and at camp when I am not in the vehicle (where I have a MXT275 installed)--they communicate perfectly with the GMRS radios. What has been the most impressive thing about these walkies is the battery life! I have had them on for the whole weekend at camp and they still had plenty of juice left.

Great for closer range communications

We travel full time with two vehilces and having constant communication is key. They work great for closer range comms and we love the fact that they are micro USB rechargeable. There are plenty of station choices so it's pretty easy to have one to ourselves even in more densely populated areas. They are an incredible value for what they are and the comapct size makes them easy to toss in a backpack in case we get separated on a hike. Great little radios to use in many aspects of life.

If I had to choose one, these would be it!

These little handhelds are amazing. Long battery life (USB rechargeable), easy to use, and great range. I've used them inside of a moving conveyor overlanding trips with various other drivers using Midland handhelds, MXT400's, MXT275 and off-brand radios; zero issues and great reception. Perfect for almost all of our outdoor activities

We’ve had these for several months along with our MXT275 and they are a perfect combo. Our offroad/overland group in Albuquerque is in the process of switching everyone over to the FRS/GMRS system. In the meantime having these portable radios allows us to hand these out till they get their vehicle mounted radios. We love how easily we can charge these through a USB while driving or at home

4x4 Trail Comms

I have a Midland GMRS radio hard mounted in my truck and when I go out with friends they often don't have communications in their truck. Carrying the X-Talker allows me to hand them off to others during the day. Also, having a spotter with a handheld is very helpful, these are perfect for that. They are easy to charge on the go and I always have them ready.

Awesome Set-up

I have had these two for over a year now and I have been nothing but happy with them. The USB charging option is a great feature especially when using them for long car rides. The quality is great and they are pretty darn durable. My only complaint is that if you use the AVPH10 shoulder speaker mic with them, it runs down the battery faster than I'd like. Other than that, the radios are great!

Awesome Radios

I have using the Midland Radio X- Talker for a while and love them. The radios are rugged and easy to use. They come in handy for hikes away from camp or getting out and spotting someone on a offload obstacle. Also great having the weather function built in to get local NOAA information. The radios have great reception and clear dialogue.

Overpriced and useless

I purchased 2 sets of these radios. We live in Arizona open field country,having these radios was almost as same as not having them. Range about half a mile.

Just what I needed

Very happy with the purchase. I bought these (on the advice of Midland customer service, who was very helpful) for skiing with my family. My wife and I wanted to be able to stay in touch on the mountain without fumbling for cell phones or worrying about signal. These work perfectly, even from peak to base (albeit a small mountain). These made our ski days so much easier that we bought a pair for our friends.

I’ve had 4 and used them for hunting. Been through Motorola and cobras but these are awesome.

Works Great!

A 2 watt license free radio. Purchased 8 pairs for communications on 18 acre fairgrounds.

Works great for what we need.

Bought a few weeks ago. So far seems to work fine for our needs. We use to communicate on five acres. Pretty easy to get started using. The direct usb charging is a nice feature.
