What Customers Are Saying
The Midland weather radio is generally reliable and easy to use, providing timely alerts during severe weather events. Customers appreciate its battery backup feature, which ensures continued operation even during power outages. However, some users were disappointed that the radio is manufactured outside the United States and noted limitations in battery recharging and alert customization. Overall, the radio is considered a good, affordable option for staying informed and safe during hazardous weather conditions.

Would RecommendJust after I set it up, we had a middle of the night severe thunderstorm warning. It was nice not to have to hope that I had a TV signal to find out the details!
Exactly what you need heading into tornado season
Would RecommendThis allows my family to stay informed of any severe weather in the area, to find it on sale for over $10 less than any other source was a bonus. It is just an added layer of protection for my family heading into tornado season.
Peace of mind

Good device in function, poor charging explanation
Would RecommendDecent options for localization and prioritizing urgent alerts, but instructions did not make clear the role of the battery backup. Two batteries of apparently close age appeared to function in only one case, perhaps a coincidence, but we are operating from the power for now. The alleged battery tracker depicted in some menu pages also does not show.

Everyone should have one
Would RecommendNothing fancy , reasonably priced, quick free delivery. Just what we needed for emergency alerts
Peace of mind
Would RecommendI chose this model over the more expensive WR400 with clock radio because you can turn the WR120 off or adjust the volume for siren and radio. This stays plugged in and silent 24/7 and only alerts when there is an emergency so it gives you peace of mind. You can also just use it to listen to weather radio separate from the alarms. Menu driven configuration makes initial setup easy. You don't need to use SAME codes, just enter your county, though I think it would be best to use Zip codes than to ...

Would Not RecommendReplaced older model that quit working and kept beeping (yes, changed batteries etc). New one worked for couple weeks, then quit notifying of bad weather and weekly test stopped. Also nothing but static. Have reset it several times, only for it to stop working again.
