Not garage ready, doesn’t stay cool

We purchased this ‘awesome’ unit 6 weeks ago. Still cannot use it. Lowe’s has a horrible return policy. This will be our last appliance purchase from Lowe’s. Long story short this unit, from day one, has a defrost cycle that goes up to over 50 degrees over the course of 3 hours. Totally unusable. Midea finally sends someone out and he says our insulated and finished second garage we use as living space was ‘too cold’ and he couldn’t look at it. DO NOT BUY

I purchased mine on Black Friday and it was delivered today. We plugged it in and stocked it with food and left for the day. When we came back the lights were flashing inside and the setting was stuck on freezer/freezer and was warm. All of my food was thawed out and ruined. Waste of money. Do. Not. Buy.

I was so hopeful and excited for this 50/50 refrigerator/freezer. I thought I had finally found the perfect solution to our lack of refrigerator space during the holidays... Flex Format Steals the Show

The flex format stole the show. This is the perfect fridge for the garage. Having the ability to go all freeze or all fridge makes it great as an additional storage unit.

We bought this for our garage in NE, because of the versatility. I would recommend delivery because you don’t want to lay this on its side in your pickup. Our garage is level, so that was a plus also. There’s some packaging tape on the bottom of the doors that you need to remove so that the air can be released when you close the doors.
