The 18/36 batteries are excellent if priced right

I’ve been very pleased with the Metabo tools that I have been testing and reviewing. The same holds true for their batteries. So far I have had great power in my saws and longer runtime than I originally anticipated. The prices have been fair and whenever Lowe’s runs a deal with them I try to grab another one for the future. Sadly I don’t think Metabo is being marketed as well as they should be and they have minimal shelf space in store but their tools and batteries are nothing to sleep on.

Very poor quality, I don't recommend them or that

I bought this product repeatedly thinking they were better quality, but to date I've bought about 8 batteries and it's the same with all of them: very poor quality. The tools themselves are fine, but the batteries are terrible; their lifespan is very shor

Powerful battery

When I bought my metabo hpt track saw it came with a 4.0AH/8.0A battery. I needed another so I decided to get another one so I can have to heavy duty batteries if one dies out. This battery adds an extra punch to my track saw and I think it is the perfect battery to use with your track saw and other heavy duty cordless saws and drills so you can have that extra power and that extra run time. Great charger

Great charger - charges battery in a reasonable time frame

Quality sucks

It was not durable, it lasted one year before it stopped working and I did not get it wet or drop it from any heights

Batteries not reliable

Charger is fine, like that it works with both 18v and 36v but one battery I have was not used much and is dead, it looks new!

Not reliable

The battery became defective after about six months of moderate use, I've had other ones for longer and are still in good condition

Bad customer service/communication

Don’t get me wrong … the 36V circular saw that I bought was great! This battery died less than 18 months after being charged three times. Apparently there is a known chip defect in it which causes the charger’s dreaded “green flashes” and makes the battery useless. Being well within the warranty period means nothing, as I sent in all documentation to show the purchase, failure and warranty. The No-Service Department passes it along to another department which will then notify the customer of cov...

18V Li-Ion Batteries are the grease that keeps the wheels of progress spinning. Buy a bunch of them. Lots of big batteries means lots of work getting done!

Great battery!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these batteries all day every day and the runtime is outstanding. The power gauge is handy when used with tools that don't have one onboard.

I feel stupid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel stupid for being excited about a charger but this one is very cool. I primarily use the 36v batteries for most things so they have a longer run time but this fast charger can fully charge one before the one I’m using runs down so there’s no waiting between swaps. A bit loud, but FAST

Excellent upgrade to the charger that came with my kit. Keeps battery charged up faster than I can use them. The cooling fan is a bit loud, but not a problem considering it's being used in a construction zone anyway.

Garbage product, got just over 2 years out of this

Thought this had a lifetime warranty, none, I'm out a bunch of money
