perfect trim router

great trim router! does everything you'd want a trim router to do. Plenty of power to rout dados and rabbets as well. It can take on some tasks that would otherwise be reserved for a plunge router, The depth setting mechanism is really easy to dial in very accurately and helps get cleaner, more accurate results. Any carpenter would be very happy with this tool

A dream to work with. Out of this world for a handheld at such a small size. Does a great job.

Handy trim router - great platform

Great item, very well constructed, metal parts, where I’ve seen plastic on other brands… Only drawback is the dust collecting tube doesn’t fit. Anything I have in my shop currently…. Not a deal killer for me though., I’d buy it again

Great cordless router, must have for woodworking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this couple month ago for working on cabinets and floating shelves. Very handy to round the edges and cut a channel on the shelves for led light strip. I used the router bits from Ryobi and they work fine. The rotation speed is adjustable with a dial. The build quality is superb, and work with the multi volt battery. Highly recommended!

Handy little trim router!

Handy, cordless, compact and lightweight, this router fits in places my bigger corded Skil can’t. Plenty powerful enough.

Lightwieght and easy to maneuver

I needed to make a jamb for some windows I got from an old barn apartement. I used several different bits to achieve the same channel as where present on the windows. I was very impressed with the amount of power it had despite being so light. Heavier bits though did eat at the battery fairly quickly as would be expected. The light is a luxury I did not have before and it is certainly my favorite feature.

Metabo HPT makes the best router, hands-down.

Metabo HPT continuously impresses with their thoughtful design. This router is my new favorite tool.

adjustment for depth is bad

Mighty Machine!!!

The Metabo Trim Router has turned out to be one of the most useful tools in my woodworking setup. It’s not a full-size plunge router, but for most of the trim work, edge profiling, and light routing tasks I do around the house and in the garage, it’s more than capable—and the cordless design makes it really convenient. My most used router

I’d always assumed trim routers were too underpowered for the type of work I usually do but I find myself using it more than the other 3 because it’s so easy to set up quickly.
