Takes too long 3 hrs to wash

Bought this dishwasher and wonder why it chants to take 3 hours to wash dishes. Never owned a machine that takes that long. Can someone explain how to shorten the time. If I knew it would take 3 hrs to complete a cycle I would bought another Whirlpool like.I had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it last month. Base has razor sharp unbuffed metal edges in some places, including around the hole in the power line connection box. Not so smart no matter what the instructions recommend. Burdening the customer with making sure that the sharp edges do not create an electric shock hazard by cutting into the wires over time is irresponsible. Overall Performance is OK. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model is only ok. Missing some of the features of the Maytag model it replaced. I totally hate the instruction book that came with it. It does not specify things regarding this particular model.

Mine is 5-6 years old. Not this exact model. Front controls with pocket handle, stainless tub, similar price point. It is quiet. Cleaned great for 5-6 years. Pulled the unit out and pulled pump and filter like YT said to check filter and chopper, no problems there. My best guess is pump failing.

Easy to use, nice and sleek.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So far so good. Very easy to use and cleans the dishes well even on light load. Plain, simple and sleek. Just what my new kitchen needed. I love the stainless steel inside, always looks clean even with dirty dishes in it.

I was willing to go without a dishwasher, but I could not be more pleased that we finally replaced our old one. This Maytag works so well. The dishes are absolutely sparkling clean. I love that the panel is on the front of the dishwasher where we can see it as our old one had the panel under the counter, which was hidden by the overlap of the counter...

Difficult for elderly people to use

First, the lower rack is a lot lower than our previous dishwasher, and we almost have to kneel on the floor or bend over double to put dishes in or take them out. Quiet and dependable

The installer did a great job taking out my old dishwasher and installing my new Maytag. He was very pleasant and gave me several tips on using this machine. I have not had a lot of time to put it to use, but it does a wonderful job of cleaning the dishes. It runs so quietly, you wouldn't know it was running. Bad top rack design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it seems like a good machine except for the top rack. Why so many rows on an angle ? Flat bottoms are a lot more usable. The way these are things slant into each other. Not a good design. Other than that, we like it.

Surprisingly Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used less than one month and so far so good. It is a little early to give five stars but did it anyway because of how pleasantly surprised we were with its quiet operation. Hope it is reliable for many years to come.
