Love our Maytag Set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our Maytag Washer and Dryer set! We had our previous Maytag set for 13 years and had no issues for the first 11-12 years. Come year 13 the sensor in the dryer was hit or miss. Instead of paying to have that fixed, we figured 13 years was a good run and time for a new Maytag set. Very pleased once again! We’ve had our new set for about 2-3 weeks now.

Failed after 2 years, doesn’t fully dry.

Dryer was okay, I had to always bypass the sensing loads because they would not dry and were always ending the cycle wet, even on smaller loads. After 2.5 years the heating element failed and the stupid machine is going to cost hundreds to fix. Maytag used to be such good brand, what a shame.

Looks great-Proven durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the variety of drying choices you have, the updated look is nice too! The only thing I miss is the buzzer on my old Maytag dryer had when finished, a small criticism considering I got 18 years out of my old dryer and it still is in service to a needy family! I know my new Maytag will last that long too.

Works Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working as Expected and I expect @ 20 years, judging from the Maytag dryer it replaced. NOTE: The prior dryer was working just fine but the Washer finally gave up the ghost and it was nearly cheaper o replace them both as a pair then to have a mismatched set.

Sensors fail

Owned for 1.5 years and sensors for dryness failing so shuts off before dry, buttons to turn on are also failing

Poor Engineering / Design / Features !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not happy with gas dryer purchase. Could it have KILLED Maytag to have installed a LIGHT inside the dryer drum?? Too dark inside !! Also - black plastic door prevents seeing clothes inside when door is closed !!. Door pull is on top of door causing plastic dryer door to bend when pulling open - will eventually probably snap door pin located mid door position ! Lint accumulates around gasket of door - have to constantly clean. Owners manua...

When is "Dry" Not Dry? And, Can You Hear Me Now?

Always reliable and only way to go for me.

They have lasted so long and been so reliable that I did not ever even look at any other brand. My mom also had Maytag's, and I can even remember that she had a pink set way back, probably in the 60's. So, I am still learning this set but so far so good.
