Love our Maytag Set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our Maytag Washer and Dryer set! We had our previous Maytag set for 13 years and had no issues for the first 11-12 years. Come year 13 the sensor in the dryer was hit or miss. Instead of paying to have that fixed, we figured 13 years was a good run and time for a new Maytag set. Very pleased once again! We’ve had our new set for about 2-3 weeks now.

Failed after 2 years, doesn’t fully dry.

Dryer was okay, I had to always bypass the sensing loads because they would not dry and were always ending the cycle wet, even on smaller loads. After 2.5 years the heating element failed and the stupid machine is going to cost hundreds to fix. Maytag used to be such good brand, what a shame.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought this item 4 months ago and it will no longer drain properly. There is no convenient access to clean the drain filter. You have to take the top, the front, the control panel and the door off to access it. That is insane. We will be returning it if possible and replacing it with something that is usable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So disappointed that I used the drier not even 6 months and it broke down and still has not been fixed or replaced without an offer to replace or apology. I have loved my previous Maytag washer and drier - this however has been a disaster.

Maytag fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a longtime fan of Maytag appliances! My washers, dryers and refrigerators have never let me down. My newest laundry pair have been great from the start and I love the front loaders. Getting the wet items out of the washer is so much easier. The multi option controls makes sure your items get the care they need.

Missing Key Functions

We've had this a little over a year. Found that the absence of a light is more than an inconvenience. Also the lint catcher catches only about 70% of the lint, making it a potential fire hazard. Only use two of the settings, as presets don't dry adequately. My 20 year old dryer had more features. Should have done more research before purchasing this model.

Dries quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with dryer. It dries quickly. It has taken a bit of adjustment to figure out the settings in order to not get my clothes to dry. I like to hang them when they are a bit damp.

Looks great-Proven durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the variety of drying choices you have, the updated look is nice too! The only thing I miss is the buzzer on my old Maytag dryer had when finished, a small criticism considering I got 18 years out of my old dryer and it still is in service to a needy family! I know my new Maytag will last that long too.

Lots of features

Nice dryer

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So far so good. I tried the power boost just the other day on the dogs bedding and was impressed on how quickly everything was dry. I am still getting used to not having a light in the dryer, my old one did have one but it’s not a deal breaker. One issue I have is that even on full volume I can’t hear the completion buzzer from upstairs (the laundry room is in the basement).

Works Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working as Expected and I expect @ 20 years, judging from the Maytag dryer it replaced. NOTE: The prior dryer was working just fine but the Washer finally gave up the ghost and it was nearly cheaper o replace them both as a pair then to have a mismatched set.

Much Quieter than My Old Neptune Model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good. I bought this washer to replace a 20+ year old Maytag Neptune washing machine. This one is so much quieter and has about 40% more capacity than the Neptune. The features are similar, but the new unit has more sensing technology. I suppose the extra sensor are more things to go wrong, but time will tell.

Works better than expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched from gas to electric. The new dryer dries the clothes faster and with less wrinkles than the gas dryer (10yr old Maytag).

Amazing for the price

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Its a good washing machine. I have 4 teenage boys in my house so it is put to the test and holds up! Its quiet, cleans well, easy to run and stands up to heavy usage.
