Would RecommendThe lock itself was heavy duty and would be very difficult to cut with bolt cutters. We needed something temporary for our gate until we installed the full gate security system.

Would RecommendI use the all the time to lock gates and doors. Recently they changed the mechanism and you no longer need a little key to change the combo. Much better and I liked then before.

Cannot open anymore
Would Not RecommendI bought this master lock for my storage. I used it because my contractor can go to storage unit having problem. I used so many master lock but this one has issued. I set up the code and I can open first time but when my contractor go to storage second time will not able to open. I cannot not break the lock. Finally I have to unscrew the lash and open the door. I spend $20 for this lock used one time give me so much problem. I will never buy this one again.
Fatal Flaw - Combination NOT Secure!
Would Not RecommendThis seems to be a solid lock, with a major fatal flaw. The combination is NOT secure when the lock is open! Unlike other combination locks, you can't clear the combination when the lock is open. This means that anyone can walk up to your opened lock and see what the set combination is. How in the world does a company like Master Lock make such a blunder? In this condition, the lock is useless to provide true security.
