Positive locking mechanism and "feel" upon closing, Shackle thick and of hardened steel, should provide years of quality service.

Great purchase for my project

I really believe after going to several Lowe's stores, that the Lowe's in Sulphur La, is the very best Lowe's there is in this area, The employee's are the best, they really care about the customers, the store is clean and organized, I really enjoy going to this store even when I don't have anything to buy, its a pleasure, I recently visited the Lake Charles store and the employee's at the registers were very unfriendly and I walked around the store at 3 times just to see if someone would ask me...

The lock set that will get you in trouble!

The set came with 2 keys to fit all 4 locks as a set. One of the locks put on a warehouse door will not open, as if the lock came with a different key. The other 3 locks appear to be fine. However it will take a lock smith to remove the key to the front door. This set of locks was not a cheap set and the lock smith will be even more expensive, not to mention the loss of time involved. I recommend you check each lock with the keys provided before you place them on your door.

Master Padlock

I used this on a moving van, and it works quite well! (It fits in the hole and the lock mechanism is easy to get at using the key.)

STurdy and affordable

Very good lock although it is not very easy to work out of a locker hole.As a general purpose lock I find it quite sturdy and reliable.

Excellent lock but beware of shackle size

Usual great quality from this manufacture. However I would warn you to beware the shackle on the lock. It is not round and smooth but 6 flat sides. I purchased these for some Pelican cases to use while traveling. The newer Pelican cases had no problem accepting these locks. The oldest one however would not. The shackle kept binding in the hole. Still a good product.

DO NOT BUY THEY ALL HAVE SAME KEYS !

I purchased number of sets from Lowes and then it appeared that ALL of them have the SAME keys !!! Meaning anyone who buys these locks from Lowes will have keys from my locks !!! I called Master Lock and they said that nothing they can do as Lowes ordered them this way.

Best I could find

I would like to have found a better lock, but time was of the essence. This one is fine, except I have an unusual amount of difficulty getting the key to fit into the lock. A little practice on my part will probably solve the issue.

Good sturdy locks-great for trailer

We use these locks on our enclosed trailer to secure the side and rear doors. The extra long loop makes them very easy to use on the latches, and they are good, sturdy locks.

Nice Long Shackle

I bought these in order to keep some athletic equipment chained to some of the big trees in my yard. It is nice to have four locks keyed identically. These locks are pretty sturdy and (so far) have tolerated wet weather well. They are sufficient to keep the casual thief from walking off with your stuff. The long shackle permits you to use one lock with a couple of lengths of chain. The big shackle also accommodates some very thick chain.

Exactly what we wanted

We have a small barn with three doors and wanted to have just one key to use for access. Having these locks keyed alike was just what I hoped to find.
