Works Well as a Short Term Gym Locker Lock

This is an overall good gym locker lock, but I recommend lubricating it to make it operate better. Out of the box the dials didn't move very smoothly, a shot of Triflow where the body meets the shackle and letting it trickle down made it so much better. My coach used the same lock on a swim locker next to the pool, but it's not doing as well. The chlorine has caused rust spots to form on the chrome plated parts and the dials don't turn smoothly. Lock

Ok, not very beefy or secure feeling but for my neeed seems ok.

Good lock.Easy to use easy to set combination.I use it on my utility trailer works well.I would difinally buy another lock just like it again if the need presented itself.It's definally been a 5 star for me. BUY ONE!

Resets very easily

Bought this for my son for his locker. When we first set the combination it looked to me like one wrong or accidental move when using it might reset the combination and you wouldn't even know it. Then day two of use, he couldn't get it open so had to have it cut off.

Descent security at an affordable price.

It's not guarding Ft Knox but works well for its intended use. I also like the fact that you can change the combo as needed.

Garbage

Once we changed the password, it would not reopen. Would not recommend, returned to store.

Locker Protection

Good color, easy to spot in a crowd. The positiveness when locking could be better.

Had to remove with bolt cutters

I was initially okay with the lock. But after a few months the lock would not open. It did. It recognize the code that I had enterd. I was stuck at the town pool in my wet swimsuit. My wife had to buy a bolt cutter and bring it to me to cut off the lock. I have since read other reviews that reported the same problem. Ugh! Stay away from this lock!

Garbage

Bought it for my gym locker. Set the combo word as directed and it worked ONCE. Then it locked up and will not reopen. Taking it back. Cheaply made.

Master Lock not operational

Unfortunately this model Master Lock did not last a week. The mechanism jammed up and would not unlock. Have returned and purchased a higher grade Master Lock and hope for better results.

Stopped Working after 2nd use.

Wonderful idea, but it doesn't work! Used on locker at gym where I take an aqua exercise class. Day one worked well. Day two opened with difficulty. Afterward tried the lock when it wasn't on the locker and it never opened again. If I had used it on Day 3, I would've been stranded at the gym with nothing but a wet bathing suit in January!! No dry clothes. No car keys. Nothing!

Absolute trash

Had to return the first one as the factory preset combination could not be opened. The replacement allowed us to reset with our own combination and then worked twice before seizing. Thankfully it was open so I was able to replace with a reliable padlock. Utmost product is utter garbage - unreliable and unfit for purpose.

Poorly Made

It took me a while to get my combination set because the bottom letter did not set correctly. The only way I was able to open the lock was because it is ridiculously easy to pick. In fact I showed my wife how I could open the lock behind my back. I'm going to return it and switch to an old fashioned combination lock. Surprised Master Lock would produce such a poorly made product.

Not one of Master Locks better designs

When I first went to set this lock, I quickly found that the simple words I had in mind weren't going to work, so I chose one from the included list in the instructions. Whoops! Can't do that one, either, because one wheel was not the correct one for that location, but a duplicate from the location above! That wiped out about 2/3rds of the entire suggested list as well. Unreliable

Bought two of these locks and both stopped working and wouldn't open on the combination. I had to use bolt cutters to get one of them off the hasp. The other stopped working when I was checking to make sure it wouldn't lock up on me.

Do not recommend

I purchased 4 locks for my twin boys for their lockers at school. One of the locks jammed while trying to set the password. On the 2nd day of school, another lock was jammed. My son, the teacher, and the janitor was unable to open the lock. They had to cut the lock off so he could get his book bag out.

Lock resets on its own

I have had this lock change combinations on me by just engaging the lock. This has happened twice and now I have to cut it off. Be very cautious when closing the lock
