Disappointed in cooking grill top

The pit itself is okay so far but the cover is thin cheap plastic. It shredded during an average rain storm, making it worthless.

Would RecommendFairly easy to put together. Good instructions. Some parts do not line up perfectly. I will probably use it once a month so hopefully I might get a few years out of it. The protective cover ripped the very first time I used it (the firepit was still virgin). I think the cover may have been dry-rotted. I currently am using a tarp and bungee cords to protect it. What I have wanted for a few years...
Would Recommend...but would never buy it because I hate spending money on myself. However, my wife and daughter surprised me with Christmas. I had to put it together myself. I like the fire pit. The cover that came with it ripped on first use. I think it was "dry rotted" I am currently using a tarp and bunji cords to cover it.
