Disappointed so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the striping kit about 6 weeks ago, it finally arrived today. Tried to install it on my ultima zt1 50”, but the provided six “screws” do not fit into the pre-made holes in the back of the deck. Looks like I’ll need to make a trip to the hardware store. Review on the striping to kit to follow once I have it installed.

Ordered 4-28-21

Ordered this for my father in law. I guess we’ll never know how good/bad it is. Said ships in 3-4 days when I ordered, now says 8-10 days. Either way it’s taking way too long to ship.

Striping Kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to move to lowest setting to see any results at all. One big problem. I installed on a ZT2 50". It does not cover tire to tire so leaves a striping gap. Edge of striping kit reaches to edge of left tire, but is about 6" short of right tire. How hard can it be to make it tire to tire? Poor design. Cub cadet please contact me.

Might be great if you actually get one

Comment but no opinion

After ordering a mulch kit which didn't fit the crankshafts that were on the ZT1 50" mower, I decided to cancel the lawn striping kit because getting the mowing deck on and off is quite an effort and not worth the "nice to have" striping attachment.

Take your money and set it on fire

Have had for 2 months now. Leaves no stripes in grass! I mow at 3”. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. It is installed on a Zt2 54” cut.

No need for a striping kit on ZT1

I don't know about everyone else but I get really good stripes with my ZT1 50" without a striping kit. I mow in 2 different directions and alternate every week. I now have an awesome diamond pattern that absolutely pops.

Works amazing

Bought this in a package deal for with my zt1. Don’t follow directions, instead go to the next bolt holes down. It will then make contact with the grass and leave awesome stripes in your yard.

Bold stripes even with weedy lawn

I bought this about a month ago. I have a very weedy lawn and wanted more then the tire stripes. Installed this and it works amazing! I will say be sure to put the deck on the typical cutting height and then install the brackets as low as possible without them hitting the ground. The rollers don't need to make full contact with the ground and I still get defined striping. My lawn is about 65% weeds (I'm working on fixing that) and I still get very noticeable striping. I'm not sure the condition ...

Strip kit

I got the strip kit for a gift. Before receiving it I researched as much as I could (there was not much out there). This does not work, I mow at 3.5 inches and it doesn’t make much contact to the grass. Don’t buy and waste your money.

Does not work well unless cutting less than 2 inch

I had my suspicions about this product before I purchased it and I really wanted this to work but, sadly, it does not do the job. The first trouble occurred with the installation because the holes in the deck were not drilled according to what the striping kit was made for so we had to send it to the dealer to get new holes drilled into the deck. Now it's installed but, trouble is, it doesn't ride low enough so as to contact the grass. Unless you're cutting at 2 inch height or less, this thing w...
