Should be called UltraColor Plus Max Gray Grout

The color is gray, not white.

Don't buy this garbage.

I am very disappointed with lowes. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of tile and grout. I went to lowes and tried to talk to them about this they didn't want to hear or talk about it. I am going to tell everyone I know about what happened. So they won't buy from lowes either.

Difficult to use

Great color but the grout is hard to apply because it turns hard very fast

Color Seems to be Fading

I have black penny tile in my white subway tile shower floor and in the niche. I wanted the grout to be as black as the penny tile, and this jet black looked like the answer. When the grout was first put on 9-1-23, it looked marvelous and shiny black as I envisioned. However, after a coupe of weeks (and I haven't even used the shower yet since there is still construction going on in that room), the grout is fading to a more gray look.

This is not BLACK

This grout is fine except it is not black. It mixes black and dries charcoal. Look at the grout refresh same brand and number - black 5118 is not true black. If you want that modern sleek all black look get JET BLACK.

Not beginner friendly

Most importantly, when applied CORRECTLY, this grout finishes smooth, consistent, and beautiful. However, there are a number of things I wish I was told: 1. The black pigment gets everywhere. Your hands will be black, your tools will be black, every light switch between your power mixer and tile floor will be black. It cleans out easy with water, though. 2. Cost effective. Don't need to mix other ingredients. Lots of color options

Has to be sealed!

I always buy the Ultracolor plus FA due to it being an all in one grout that does not need to be sealed. Lowe's did not have the Avalanche white I needed in FA and I saw this UltraColor Plus Max in pure white. It was more money and I assumed was an upgrade from the FA that just added color depth and consistency. A little pricey, but good.

I bought this colored grout in Bright White because my Darlin' Gal wanted to color it a particular shade of blue that was unavailable anywhere. It cost more than I liked, but it took the dye well, came out an even shade, and was easier to clean up than I am used to. I decided it was worth the extra cost for the easier clean up and, mainly, a happy Ol' Lady.
