Easy and level

Easy to mix, follow the ratio on the bag and levels well. Just remember to seal any holes … it’ll flow through! Only difficulty, if you don’t cover an entire area, it forms a bit of a lip at the edge. I used a paint brush to smooth it out.

I've never used this but read the reviews and gave it a go to level out my deck that I enclosed. I mixed each bag with 5.3 quarts of water and found it was pretty easy to work with but did take a little manipulation to get it to flow where I wanted. If I were to work by myself, I would not try to do more than 3 or 4 bags as it does set up in about 10 minutes and you want to keep a wet edge with each bucket. I had a helper who smoothed as I mixed and found it easy to do bucket after bucket. P...

The Self Leveling Underlayment worked great. I followed the directions exactly and got fantastic results. I premeasured the water and added it to the mixing buckets (I used the bigger red ones from Harbor Freight as they have a bit more room) then mixed and poured with a paddle mixer ( I almost burned out my hammer drill the first time I did this on a smaller room and bought a mixer just for doing this) and mixed for a timed 2 minuets as directions said. I had to level a bathroom floor and this fit the bill. Easy to mix and worth with. Took a little longer to dry than I anticipated. But the results were good.

Expensive trash! Use epoxy resin instead!

You’re better off buying epoxy resin and bondo and mixing the two 50/50 then pouring. I’ve been using the epoxy resin/bondo mix for many years in other projects and it self levels (as any liquid will) , adheres to pretty much anything so strong you’ll break the wood off before you break the mixture, it’s especially strong and super waterproof (used on boat hulls) This crap( Mapei self leveler) left me with an unlevel and now unworkable floor, does NOT self level and yes it was mixed absolutely...

It's All About the Prep

Great product if you follow the instructions, prepare well, and use the right tools. I'm a somewhat novice DIYer. With a partner to keep the mixing process going while the other poured and encouraged the slurry to spread, worked great. Maximize the water content so the working time isn’t a problem.
