TSP is recommended by the manufacture of swimming pool filters that I bought. The TSP breaks down the lotions and oils that accumulate on the filter. Recommended at 1 cup per 5 gallons of water. I soak the filters over night. Rinse them and they look like new.

Seems as Effective as Real TSP

Was leery about the Phosphate-Free version but it seemed to cut through the grime.

I bought this to clean the foundation of my house, before painting. There was a lot of plant debris on the foundation from the ivy that had been growing up it. I was not at all impressed with this cleaner, because it's seemed to do nothing to help remove the debris. I had to scrub like crazy and i think the only thing that took it off was the "elbow grease" I had to apply to get the job done. I would have gotten real TSP, but this was the only thing I saw at Lowe's. Don't waste your money. Go so...

I bought this in a cardboard box last time. Which means if you need to figure out a good way to store it. I used 1/4 sup in 2 gallons of water (wash walls for paint prep) and this is enough to do most the house. I always go back with a second wet rag to "rinse off" any residual left over. Paint jobs always come out great after good prep. But I also prime and do two coats. This is one step to get it right the first time.
